About Us

Paul and Jackie Duggins established Scubadive Watersports in 1996. Both had been involved in the diving industry for a number of years prior to setting up the Centre. Having worked for major dive companies they gained valuable knowledge and experience, managing one of the midlands premier dive sites. Then in 2008, they retired leaving the diving operations to Matt and Eleanor Jones, who had worked for them for many years. During this time they all felt that the majority of organizations, whilst offering the facilities of diver training courses, equipment sales and service, lacked a friendly atmosphere. After all diving is a leisure activity, not a sport. SCUBADIVE was set up with this ethos. SCUBADIVE is operated first and foremost by diving fanatics who wish to pass on their experience and knowledge to others. They have a priority within their teaching of instilling the safety aspects as a major issue both during the learning process and afterwards. Safety issues are constantly discussed both during training and once qualified within the club environment or just over one of the many social cups of tea.

The Staff

The team is made up of staff who have all been taught by Matt or Paul, and are keen to pass on their valuable knowledge to new students who in turn may wish to achieve the status they have attained. They are dedicated and give up their valuable time in order that SCUBADIVE can provide the excellent back up to their students in the water. Most of the staff are Divemasters and have been with SCUBADIVE from the outset.

New Divemasters are always in training and the team will always increase. They are always friendly and happy to assist in any way.
